6HP Kicker Motor Remote Control Conversion

Recently, we completed a conversion on a 6HP 4-stroke outboard. The customer has a 15’ Klamath with a 40HP Tohatsu we installed for them over a year ago. The customer wanted to add a kicker motor. Their motor was equipped with a hydraulic tilt/trim bracket.

We made their vision become a reality by sourcing a remote control conversion kit for the outboard and running the motor to a Tohatsu remote control box. We also fitted a tie rod for the customer to be able to steer and control the motor from the helm. For added convenience, we also installed the gas fittings with ball valves for the customer to be able to conveniently have their fuel all from one source and with the convenience of shut-off to be able to switch back and forth from operating each motor.
